Defendant, Frank Mueller, appeals from the trial courts order denying his Crim. P. 35(c) motion. The issue presented here is whether the trial court abused its discretion in finding good cause to set trial dates for the defendants four criminal cases beyond the ninety-day period permitted for bringing such matters to trial by the Uniform Mandatory Disposition of Detainers Act (UMDDA). Because we agree with the defendant that there was not good cause and that the UMDDA was violated, we conclude that the trial court lacked jurisdiction to render judgment and sentence in the defendants cases. We thus reverse and remand with directions.
